Early in my career I spent a lot of time in Tokyo. The sheer volume of bicycles parked along a sidewalk was truly impressive. The Japanese have a large population and very little land so they have to get really creative about how to make the most use of that space. This video shows an automated parking garage for bicycles. Really cool stuff!
